Happy 9 Months!

Camden turned 9 months yesterday. He has changed so much in the past month. We took him for his check-up on the 18th of June and the doctor said that he was doing great! He weighed 20 pounds and 10 ounces and he was 29 inches long.
Camden and I have been in Texas the past few days, after flying down on the 9th of June, going to a family reunion, driving to Colorado from Texas, driving to the top of Pikes Peak in Colorado, and driving back down to Texas. Can we say a lot of miles of traveling? Camden did awesome with all of the traveling and rarely got fussy. My friend, Rachael, also came over to Texas from Louisiana to visit, and we have had a lot of fun together.
Camden now has seven teeth that have come through the gums, so he does get fussy at night. But even with all this teething, he is pretty much a happy boy and will smile and wave at anyone who pays attention to him. Last night, my parents had Bible study at their house and we were all saying a prayer before dinner. Rachael was holding Camden and he was talking to another lady before we stood up to say the prayer. When everyone was bowing their heads, he was looking back and forth between Rachael and the other woman trying to figure out why they weren't paying attention to him anymore. Finally, he turned his head to the side and put it directly in front of Rachael's face so he could get her attention. So cute!
He is starting to say more words. He says Mama really well and my dad has been teaching him to say Papaw, (he will make the "p" sound) and he will stick out his hand and say hi occasionally. He is very attached to my dad, too. When Papaw comes home for lunch, he gets really excited to see him and when he leaves he wiggles and reaches out to try to go with him.
We took Camden swimming at the hotel we stayed at during our travels and he absolutely had the best time. He is definitely a water bug. He splashed and laughed the whole time we were in the pool. Camden is also getting closer to crawling. He gets up on his hands and knees and even gets up on his toes. He has gone backwards, but just cannot figure out how to move forward.
We really are missing Dad while we are away, but it is good that he lets us come visit grandparents when he has to work.
