13 Months

We have a toddler on our hands people! Camden took his first steps sometime around 11 and a half months, but he officially started walking on his own about 2 weeks after his first birthday. Now two weeks later he is a master. He can walk pretty fast and can maneuver uneven surfaces - such as grass or rocks or wood chips. He has also learned to climb up and DOWN stairs, finally! (He was going up stairs a long time ago, but would not go backwards to go back down. Then this past weekend, he went all the way down the stairs without any help!)

He loves to clap his hands and bounce up and down when his favorite music videos come on (Ralph's World). The bounce up and down is when he bends his knees like he is doing a squat and then comes back up and repeats. It is super cute. He absolutely loves Ralph's World videos that we show on the computer. Whenever he sees the computer, he points to it and lets out this super excited squeal. He knows what the computer is supposed to be used for - his entertainment. We don't get to get on the computer and do stuff when he is around.

His favorite toy, right now, is a ball. Or anything that sort of resembles a ball (like his diaper that I just changed and folded up). He loves to throw balls, chase them, pick them up, and repeat. He loves pictures of balls in his books and hanging up on walls. He also is really interested in balloons. Every time we go to the grocery store and he sees a balloon he gets super excited. He points out balloons in his books, even if they are super small and I would not have noticed them.

Camden is learning so many new words. The other day we were looking at some pictures of babies on facebook. And I said, "Look at the baby!" and Camden said "bay-bee". He is also saying football (oot-ball), banana, apple, up, outside (ou-si), doggie, bye-bye, uh-huh, and uh-oh, etc. I know there are more, but it is really hard to remember them.
