Eating a leaf in Grandma's front yard!
We traveled to Texas for Thanksgiving. Kevin gets standby tickets through FedEx for less money than buying full price tickets and we decided to give it a try for our trip to Texas. Well, we made it! But there was only one empty seat on the way in to Texas. Philip, Heather, and Callie picked us up in Houston and took us back to Beaumont. Callie and Camden became friends right away on the car trip back to Beaumont.
Wednesday, we went grocery shopping, cooked and baked for Thanksgiving day. Thanksgiving Day, we went to Houston to my Grandma's and celebrated with our big family. We had just under 30 people eating dinner at my Grandma's house, but there was plenty of food. Philip and I even went on a jog later that afternoon!
Friday, we celebrated Christmas, since all of our family was together, but will not be f0r Christmas. We had fun opening presents, but mostly watching Camden and Callie opening presents. Each of the couples got a new portable GPS for our cars from my parents. Camden received four new outfits, Christmas pajamas, two pairs of shoes, a backpack, Wedgets, markers and a doodle pad, two books, and a tractor that lights up and makes noises.
Camden also fell in love with Miles and Lucy, Stephen and Kaylin's dogs, whom also came to visit. He also liked there kennel (see picture)! He got to see Grandmother, Granddad, and Uncle Matthew while we were in Texas too. It was a very fun time.
Camden has learned a lot of new words: basketball (ba-ka-ball, his first 3 syllable word), touchdown (ta-dan), cheese (chee), water (wata), home, Oh no (ah-na), please (pwee), doggie (he has said this before, but only once, he started saying it again a lot.), banana (nana) there are probably more, but that is all I can think of right now.
