18 Month Photos
I have been wanting to get some good photos of Camden for awhile now. Even though it has been a week or two since he turned 18 months, we finally went out to Fox Run park and got some pictures. Boy, is it hard to take photos of Camden! He does not want to sit still or smile when you want him to! He is very much a little boy wanting to explore and play!
Camden is saying so much now, it is really too hard to keep up with it all. He starting to say more and more sentences and use words like: I and me . For instance, he says "I get it, Mama.", when retrieving something. Or, he says "Help me, mama.", when he needs help with something. He is saying please and thank you very consistently now. And he has started counting! I can understand him when he counts to three, but sometimes he keeps going, I just don't recognize what he is saying. He is very sociable and loves to say hi to everyone and everything. He says hi to friends, strangers, dogs, the moon, pictures in his books, characters on tv, basically whatever he sees. He usually says "Hi, hi, hi" and then says the name of what he is saying hi to. For instance, Easter morning we were headed to church and the moon was still out. Camden was looking out his window and said "Hi, hi, hi moon!" while waving his little hand. So very cute! I am really enjoying this time of language and personality development in my little boy!

Every year, Eastside church hosts a resurrection celebration for children. This year we decided to take Camden and check it out. They did a great job of providing crafts and stories in the gym of the church building. Camden enjoyed making a rain stick, riding in a boat, and hearing about Jesus being our lifeguard. Camden also made a shield, water bottle, necklace and friendship bracelet. Of course, he had lots of help! We also took a tour of Jesus' life. The workers decorated several rooms as scenes from Jesus' life such as: the nativity, marketplace, last supper, crucifixion and resurrection. In each area, there was a dressed-up storyteller that told about that part of Jesus' life. There were even real animals at the nativity!
