There are many reasons I have not been steady with my posts and pictures, but the major reason is because we have moved! We sold our house and are now renting a whopping mile and a half away. I like our new place, but mostly I like all the money we will be saving each month.
We have finally achieved some of our goals of doing things this summer. We finally made it to the zoo with the Kites, or at least most of the Kites. Jacob and Camden had a blast feeding the giraffes, seeing various other animals, running and playing and riding the mini-train. We also visited WaterWorld. I loved this. Camden did too. Mainly, I loved it because Camden got in for free and had a blast playing in the water and going down the toddler sized slides. We also enjoyed the fast, tube river rides.
Camden is becoming more and more of a "big boy" and less and less of a baby. He got his first real haircut yesterday and it makes him look so much older. He still is super cute. This morning he sat with me during worship (He had a bit of a runny nose and could not go to the nursery, I couldn't leave him at home because both Kevin and I had things to do at church.) and did a great job being still and quiet. He sang with the songs, ate a snack during the sermon, and when he heard a baby crying, he said "What's wrong with the baby, Mommy?" Can you believe it? His sentences are getting longer and longer each day. Last night, I was watching something on tv that was pretty funny and when I started laughing, Camden asked me "What's wrong?" (I think this must be his new favorite question. I told him I was laughing. He immediately started chuckling and said "It's funny." It is very hard to keep up with everything that he says these days. I think he has quite a great vocabulary and ability to talk in sentences for someone his age. He is one month shy of being two and he can count to ten without help, say his abcs without help, and is starting to learn to spell his name. He knows probably at least twenty songs, that he could sing by himself. And like I've said before, Camden loves sports. He knows about soccer, golf, baseball, tennis, football and hockey. He knows which balls are which and which ones you kick, hit, throw or shoot.
