Since our last post, a few things have happened. I will start with Camden.
Camden has started potty-training. He has done pretty well, but I think it will be little while before I am comfortable with putting underwear on him all of the time, so I have this plan in place: When we are home, Camden wears underwear except for naps and night; when we are out running errands he wears a pull-up (just-in-case); and when he is sleeping, he wears a diaper. I am prepared for this to take awhile, because so far Camden has only been able to stay accident free with peeing, he has yet to poop in the potty.
Camden loves school. I am making the decision to wait one more year before I put him in preschool. I think two years of preschool will be enough before he goes to Kindergarten. The other day, though, Camden asked me if he could go to school. I told him we could do school at home. We are currently working on the letters A, B and C and our colors too. So we did the letter B. For 'B'reakfast, Camden ate 'b'lueberries and 'b'ananas, and cereal, then he took a 'b'ubble 'b'ath, wore a 'b'lue shirt and read three 'b'ooks that started with the letter 'b'. I am excited to do more school with Camden; he really likes it.
We put Camden in a developmental soccer class. They play games with the kids and make it a lot of fun while teaching balance, coordination and team work skills. Camden seems to really enjoy it and worked pretty hard to do the activities like the coach showed him. We will be going once a week on Saturday mornings.
Kevin is staying really busy with work and Poop Ninjas, but especially with work. We also got a ps3 move and that has been a fun toy for both of us to enjoy.
I am busy being a mom, of course. But I also teach the two-year old Bible class on Sundays and am in charge of the nursery. I am also involved in a women's mentoring program and secret sisters. Every other Tuesday, I go to a mom's group that is a wonderful learning opportunity, with two great mentors and the other moms that attend.
I hope everyone is having a great start to 2011!
