Camden, you are three today! Three today! I cannot believe how fast these three years have gone by. I love you, my darling, daring boy. I am so very thankful to God for blessing me with you and the adventure of being your mom.
Camden, I love your grumpy cry when I have to wake you up in the morning, you definitely like to sleep late like your daddy. When we don’t have somewhere to be in the mornings and you wake up on your own, you are a happy camper ready to start the day! You love to have a snack (breakfast) on the couch and watch a show.
Camden, I love your adventurous and daring spirit, although sometimes it scares me. You love, love, love the water and water slides. When we went to Water World this year, you were in your element and loved every minute of it. You want to be big enough to ride the big slides and you tell me all the time that you think you are big enough now to ride the big slides. You also love to climb to the top of the jungle gym at the playground or try out the rock climbing walls or climb whatever looks to be the most difficult to climb. I love that you like to try new things and not just always take the easy way up.
Camden, I love your enthusiasm for sports. As someone who played sports and enjoys sports myself, I cannot wait to see you playing soccer, or baseball, or football, or whatever sport you choose to love. You have told me a couple of times (since football season started) that you are going to play with the Broncos the next time they play. You are so very cute and clever. You even like hockey!
Camden, you are very smart and clever. We started home school preschool this year and you have already learned so much. Your writing skills are amazing me, they have really improved in the past couple of months. You are able to draw a stick figure person with eyes and mouth, arms and legs. You write the letters A, B, C, D (with guidance) pretty well. You also can draw circles and triangles like an expert! You are really picking up on the phonetics of each of the letters, and I love when you tell me. “You know what starts with the letter ‘B’, b-b-b-b ball!” I am so proud that you love to learn!
Camden, I love that you are very boy! You love to play with swords, guns and bow and arrows. You love cars and trains and airplanes. You like to play pretend and fight the bad guys. But, every once in a while you see the pretty girlie things and tell me that you are a princess. When I tell you that boys aren’t princesses but they can be princes, you adamantly say that you are a princess. Cute! I know this won’t last long.
Camden, most of all I love seeing you everyday. You grow, change and learn each day and I get so excited to see what the day brings with you in it!
I will continue to love you unconditionally and show you grace and forgiveness when you make mistakes. I promise to teach you respect, grace and love towards others. And most of all, I promise to teach you about our Wonderful, Loving Father, so that you may KNOW HIM and have a relationship with Him.
