Our Christmas Activities

Since Camden is old enough to anticipate Christmas, understand the idea of Santa Claus, and really get excited about Christmas, I decided to do an activity advent calendar this year. However, we have not been able to do things EVERY day. Life happens and sometimes the activity gets pushed aside for whatever reason, but we have done quite a few activities and I thought I would share what we have done so far and what we are still planning on doing : )

1.  Make a count-down to Christmas activity.

2.  Read Elf on the Shelf, name our Elf and see where he hides each day!

3. Make cookies and deliver them to friends.

4.  Decorate an ornament.

5.  Go shopping for presents for a family in need.

6.  Wrap presents and decorate Christmas cards.

7.  Make a snowman with marshmallows.

8.  Visit Santa Claus.

9.  Make "snow" play-doh and play with it!

10. Watch a Christmas movie and eat popcorn!

11. Make a gingerbread house.

12.  Make a handprint wreath.

13.  Go carolling.

14.  Go bowling.

15.  Go sledding (we are planning this one for the day after Christmas, actually)

16.  Make sugar cookies and decorate.

17.  Make a glue snowman ornament.

18.  Go see Christmas lights.

19.  On Christmas eve, read the night before Christmas and set out milk and cookies for Santa!

I hope to add more service projects to the list as the kids get older.
