Wanting to Lose Weight

I really want to lose weight and be at a healthy weight for my height before I have another kid. I have been working out really hard and consistently for the past six weeks! I am trying to change my eating habits to also help me lose weight. I am trying to eat a salad before every meal or as my meal in of itself (except breakfast). My thinking is that if I fill up on a salad first, I will eat less of the more fattening or carbohydrate type foods. Sometimes though, I get in a rut and I do not want to eat the same salad every day, so I have come up with a few variations to help out my bored taste buds. If anyone else has suggestions on different variations I could try, I would gladly welcome them.

Favorite (usually this is my meal):
Organic Green or Red leaf lettuce
Organic Spinach
Finely chopped organic tomatoes
Avocado (1/2 sliced)
Cooked, rinsed, cold black beans
Cooked, cold corn
Crumbled blue corn chips
Dressing: Salsa! It makes a great, yummy dressing!

Side Salad:
Organic green or red leaf lettuce
Organic spinach
Chopped tomotoes
Chopped bell peppers
Peeled, shredded carrots
Artichoke hearts
Dressings: either balsamic vinegar and EVOO or Dijon Mustard and EVOO
